The funeral Mass for Doris Barbara Clark will be at 10:30AM on Monday, October 26, 2015 at St. Francis Catholic Church with Rev. Shawn Haremza officiating. The visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00PM Sunday October, 25 2015 at the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the Mass. The burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Doris passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Samaritan Bethany Home on Eighth. Doris was born in Rochester, Minnesota on October 5, 1923 to Arthur W. and Theresa Marie (Loquai) Fritsche. She grew up on a farm near Mantorville, MN and graduated from Mantorville High School in 1940. Doris continued her education at Rochester Community College. She worked for Dodge and Olmsted County Court House and D. H. Holt Title Company, retiring after 40 years. Doris married Walter Leo Clark on August 27, 1949 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Rochester.
While Doris was growing up on the farm she enjoyed riding horse and various activities outside. As a young adult she participated in plays, played softball, enjoyed bowling and crossword puzzles. After marrying Tuck the couple traveled, played cards, cribbage and spent time at the lake.
Doris was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and St. Michael’s Rosary Group at St. Francis Catholic Church.
Survivors include her two sons; Richard W. (Martha) and David P. (Janice) Clark, a daughter; Mary T. (Richard) Lien all of Rochester, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Memorials are preferred to Samaritan Bethany or St. Francis Catholic Church.
