To the family:
I am sorry to hear of your loss. I must tell you your mother was the one who I got my ear pierced for I loved all of her beautiful ear rings that dangled and at 19 went to the doctor ( yes doctor) and got my ears pierced. I think of her often when I put my wire earrings in place.
Oh what fun we had on the farm on the Berne road, playing ball and having fun on Sunday afternoon.
The most memorable thing was going to your house for Thanksgiving and having duck along with the winters in Minnesota we went in the ditch one time coming back to our place after a great time at your house and your mother's great cooking.
Lois will be missed but keep the fond memories present at each family gathering. Those are the fun times to put those memories into action. I miss my mother even after all these years (pa 1997) but I am the only one that an make those sweet rolls she used to make along with some of the candy and every Christmas we all talk about the homemade bread and candy mother used to make.
Love and prayers to all of you. wish I could be there but we are coming over labor day for our 50th anniversary in Pine Island and so our thoughts and prayers are with all of you love you Bill, Susan,Sandra, Billy and Mary.
