Marge was born May 10, 1927 in Beloit WI.  She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1945 and attended Minnesota Bible College in Minneapolis for 2 years.  On November 20, 1947 she was married to Cecil Dietz.  They farmed on his farm near Cogswell, ND.  While living near Cogswell Marge taught in a one room school for 1 and ½ years as well as teaching music in the local school district.

In addition to teaching, Marge enjoyed being involved in church programs.  She taught Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, singing and directing the church choir.  Marge would often entertain her grand children with her singing and yodeling talent.

In 1968 Marge and Cecil returned to the farm when they moved to Finlayson MN.  While in Finlayson Marge completed her secondary education and received a degree from Bemidji State College in Elementary Education and Library Science.  Marge then taught for 20 years in the Finlayson School District.

Marge retired from teaching in 1989 at which time she and Cecil moved to the Phoenix AZ area.

Condolences

The family of Marjorie M. Dietz has received the following condolences.

Aunt Marge was such a lovely woman and always a favorite.  She was a very sweet role model for this niece!  We loved her so much, and pray that all her family will be comforted with God's peace.  She was a blessing to many, many people.

Thankyouforyourlife,love,faithandexampleAuntMarge!

What a wonderful woman you were. My heart goes to your family.

Marge was an aunt by marriage but I thought she was someone really special.  She always had something encouraging to say. One of my fondest memories is the time she and Betty were in Phoenix and they yodeled for us.  We even got it on video! Rest in peace, Aunt Marge!

Mrs Dietz was my fifth grade teacher. I fondly remember her reading to us. Rest in peace, you changed a lot of lives ??

Marg and i were always very close.  when we were preschool, we played a game where she was bub, and i was jack. i don't remember how the game went,  but we  had fun playing it. I know she is in good hands now and happy to be with Cecil and our mother and dad and a lot of friends

Deepest sympathy to the Dietz family!

she was my favorite Elementary School Teacher in Finlayson!

A Lot of great memory's that I think of often!

Rest in Peace.

You know...my husband and I were just talking about how life just passes us by. Mrs. Dietz was my 1st grade teacher, I think. If my memory serves me correct, was it Dwight and Sandy Dietz that was our neighbors? My fondest memory is that at the age of 7...  I was so enamored of her that I brought flowers to her on a sunny May day and didn't realize the she was terribly allergic to the beautiful goldenrods. Something that I empathize with her now. I think that I might have been one of Mrs. Dietz "special" children. You know that she tried to comb my bangs for school pictures one year? Lol. She always tried to bring out the best, whatever it was. Sobbing, I realize that she could have been one of the most influential people in my young life...and I want you to know that...one day...I will try to pay it forward, in her memory. I hope that in no way, shape or form any vocabulary has been abused or tortured in this statement. Ha!

Goodbye and God bless aunt Marj.

We pray that God will be comforting you during this time. We're sorry we can't make it but want you to know that we will miss Aunt Marge also. Lots of good memories.

Your family has our sympathy. May God give you comfort and strength as you face the next few days. May He also give each of you Peace.
