Condolences
The family of Charles “Chuck” F. Breckle has received the following condolences.
Bishop Noll Institute mourns the loss of a cherished teacher and theater director (1965-1971). Charlie left a memorable mark on the lives of many BNI students.
May the angels lead him into paradise.
When visiting my family at Shorewood, Charlie was always so welcoming and friendly...a good example of a kind and gentle soul.
I'm so very sorry to hear this news - Charlie hired me at Thornwood where I spent 29 years of my teaching career. He was a wonderful mentor and friend and a terrific department chair.
My deepest condolences to "Charlie's" family. He was a wonderful department Chair, a wonderful human being, and a good friend to all of us in Thornwood's English Dept. I am deeply sorry to hear this news.
Mr. B was a mentor to both my brothers and I. We worked for him doing inventory in the English department library at Thornwood H.S. He had a quiet wit and was an interesting man and inspiring teacher and leader. So sorry he is gone.
I taught high school with Mr. Breckle in the Chicago area. He was a gifted teacher, a kind and caring gentleman and a dear friend. After retirement, we stayed friends and
met in Chicago and New York City to see plays, especially when my daughter Judith was performing. He was greatly loved by his faculty members and his students.
