Terry Steven Babcock

Terry S. Babcock, age 45, died Sunday, March 26, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Methodist Campus after a battle with cancer.

He was born on November 11, 1971, in Canby, MN to Donald and Lois Yvonne (Juranek) Babcock. He grew up on a farm near Tyler, MN, where he enjoyed farming with his dad.

He graduated from RTR High School in Tyler, MN, in 1990.  Terry married Nicole Austin on March 12, 1994, in Rochester, Minnesota. For the next 23 years, they lived in and near Rochester where Terry designed and built custom homes. Terry also enjoyed traveling with his wife Nicole, sightseeing and visiting historic sites.

Terry loved the outdoors, animals and working with his hands. He was an active member of the Zumbro Valley congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed teaching others about the Bible. He also enjoyed using his construction skills in the volunteer construction of many houses of worship for Jehovah’s Witnesses and at their world headquarters in New York.

He will be dearly missed by his family, relatives and many close friends.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Nicole; mother Lois Babcock or Rochester; brothers Darcy Jon Babcock of Benson, MN, and Marty Babcock of Mankato, MN; and sister Sheri (Kris) Berggren of Bloomington, MN, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Babcock.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 7th at 2:00 p.m. at the Kahler Apache, 1517 16th Street SW, in Rochester.

Condolences

The family of Terry Steven Babcock has received the following condolences.

Terry, we will miss you coming into Inta Juice several times a week for your 2 ounce shot of wheat grass with apple juice! To Terry's family & friends, may the Lord bring comfort & peace during this difficult time.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear about Terry's passing. Even though i haven't kept in touch thru the years i have never forgotten any of you or him. He had such a passion to teach others. My arms are wrapped around each of you as you go through this time.

Our deepest thoughts and prayers

My deepest sympathies to you Nicole and the extended family. Terry has always and will always hold a special place in my heart. He and I worked closely together for several years helping build and finance clients dream homes. And I was fortunate enough to have him build my own home as well in 2010/2011.   He will be remembered forever!  May the memories you have help give you strength and comfort!

I am sorry for your loss.  Terry was a good friend in school, and we even lived within a few miles of each other.  Unfortunately, we lost touch after school, but still remember the old days.  May the sadness that you are now feeling, be replaced with happy memories of him.

I'm sorry for Your loss, my heart goes out to you and your family. Stan Spiczka.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

To Nicole and Family,  Terry was such a great friend to me in school.  I had fallen out of contact with him.  Just wanted to say You are in my thoughts and prayers.  Terry was a GREAT man in many ways!!!   My condolences  Jason Brust
