Mary Lou Langdon

Mary Lou Sprott Langdon 85, of Rochester, died Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Samaritan Bethany Home in Rochester.

Mary Lou Sprott (Langdon) was born February 19, 1930 to Everett and Lou Sprott at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

She attended Spring Valley Elementary School and Villa Maria Academy in Frontenac, MN, grades 9-12, graduating in 1948.  She attended one year of college towards a nursing degree at Mary Mace in Atlanta, Georgia.

On April 5, 1953 she married Robert Dennis Langdon at St. Ignatius Church in Spring Valley.  Mary Lou worked at St. Marys Hospital as a Nurse Aide and later as a Unit Secretary.  Her last session was for 30 years, retiring in 1994.

Robert Dennis preceded her in death on October 8, 2002.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Lou Sprott, and uncle Fr. Thomas Ploof of the Winona Diocese.  She is survived by many relatives and friends.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Pax Christi Catholic Church in Rochester with Rev. Joseph Fogal officiating.  There will be a visitation one hour prior to the Mass at Pax Christi.   Burial will be at Saint Kilian’s Catholic Cemetery in Wykoff, MN .
