Condolences

The family of William J. “Bill” McCollom has received the following condolences.

"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." Some people pass away to soon and Bill was one who I wish could have stayed around for a long time.  Bill love you man!

Bill was a mentor, colleague and most importantly...a friend. His impact on my career was huge and I wouldn't be doing what I am today if it wasn't for Bill. I will miss his infectious smile and his natural ability to lead. My favorite memories will be taking 10-15 minutes out of our day to talk about his beloved Giants and what moves he'll be making on his fantasy football team that week.

Thank you, Bill, for being such a great influence.

Matt:   Our sincerest sympathies, Cody called me last night in distraght about finding out and not being able to attend any of the services.   He was at lost for words and I suggested that he give you a call or drop you a line.  You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.  God Bless!

My deepest condolences to Bill's family.  He was a great man to work for and I highly respect him.  His smile and calm reassuring voice made for any interaction with Bill an enjoyable one.  May the memories of this wonderful man help you through this difficult time.

Love, Bruce & Laura Spader

Our sincerest condolences to Bill's family. He was surely one of the good guys. We enjoyed spending time with him at the Eagles.

I write these words with sadness at Bill's passing, but with gratefulness that I had the opportunity to work closely with Bill at Eagles 2228 for the past many years and to be able to call him friend and brother. Bill always impressed me with his his caring, compassion, knowledge and wisdom. We could always count on Bill doing the right thing at the right time in the right way. That was true not only in his business dealings for the Aerie but, in dealings with people as well. Bill truly believed in the Eagles organization and the work that it does and he constantly reminded us that we are here to "help people". He had a personality that just made him so very unique and a person that all wanted to call friend. He will be so dearly missed. I am quite certain, however, that there is a welcoming party at Heaven's Gates right now led by Denny H, Dick H, Jeff H, Rod L, and so many other brothers and sisters.

Connie and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you and we all take comfort in knowing that Bill's memory and greatness will always be with us.

God bless you,

Rick Krueger

Billie treated me and my family with great and unwavering kindness and respect form the very first time we met until a few weeks ago when last we spoke. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss. In the days, months and years to come, I hope you remember all the wonderful times and the strength and acceptance with which Billie lived and died.

Love and prayers,

Sincerely,

I am so sorry for the loss of such a brilliant man. Bill was my mentor and one of my inspirations in the working world to be the best I could be. Bill taught me from the young age of 19 and I truly use him as an example in my daily life. He was always serious but yet had so much humor, very positive and upbeat. He loved his life and his success but most of all he loved talking about his boys and was very proud of them. My condolences to his family. He was much too young to leave but must have better things to carry on up in heaven. Peace be with you~

To the McCollom Family:

Please accept my sincere condolences.  Bill was a good, decent man, and always put people first.  He loved to talk sports, and often shared stories about his experiences being Dad.  He loved being a father, and even though his stories revealed the good and the not-so-good, there was always acceptance, and the twinkle in his eye reflected a genuine sense of humor.

As a tribute to Bill, I will make an effort to emulate his common decency, goodwill, and sense of fairness, and as I carry on with daily living, I will remember all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

God bless,

I always enjoyed working with Bill, he will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers to the family.

You are the kind of person who brings just pure comfort and smile whenever I think of you, eventhough I only worked with you. I am thankful for the opportunity and the most memorable time working with you. I learnt from you expertise and...your kindness.

It is beyond words how sorry I am for this lost of your family, friends and this community.

I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing.... Bill was a friend of my dad's via the Eagles Club. I just wanted to share his comforting words during our own time of grief.

Shortly after my Dad's passing, Bill was diagnosed and had a surgery in which he was placed under anesthesia. After his surgery he pulled my Mom aside at the Eagles, and told her that my Dad was present during his surgery and was watching over him. I'm glad my Dad was there again to provide a sense of comfort to Bill when they met again in Heaven.

You will all be in my prayers.

Connie and Family,  The usual words of condolence just don't seem enough.  Bill was far too young to leave you.  Allen and I are picking up Eva Wednesday morning and we will be there for Bill' memorial service.  In the meantime, our prayers are with you and the kids.  Love, Julie and Allen

I very much appreciated and respected Bill's strong leadership skills in business while simultaneously emitting a sense of compassion for all people he worked with.  TPI has lost a cherished family member and our hearts go out to Connie and Bill's entire family for their huge loss.  May God bless you Connie and Family!
