Willard J. “Willy” Buege

Willard (Willy) Buege, 90 of Rochester, MN., died Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Homestead of Rochester.

Willard was born in Alma, WI, on February 26, 1934, to Edward and Hazel (Kindschy) Buege. Willard was united in marriage to Joan Kosidowski on September 20, 1958 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Winona, MN. Willard and Joan were married 66 years. They moved to Rochester in 1958, where Willard worked at Marigold Dairies, Rochester Lumber and Fullerton Lumber until he retired. Willard loved watching Westerns on TV, reading newspapers and magazines, and doing some outside crafts.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Joan; daughters, Laura and Pam Buege; son, Bryon (Connie) Buege; three granddaughters, Alyssa Buege, Nicole (Brandon) Born, and BreAnn (Bailey) Breitenbach. Willard is also survived by his siblings, Betty Peters, Anna Tousley, Donna (Dave) Kouba and Sharon (Richard) Flatten. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Hazel and by his brothers, Robert and Steve.

A memorial mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church, 1600 11th Ave. SE, Rochester, with Father Brian Klein as celebrant.
