In the final months of her life, she resided at Madonna Meadows where she enjoyed dining with her fellow residents and participating in activities.

She is survived by her children David Jr. (Diane), Jan Miller (John), and Rob (Ginny); her grandchildren Zane (Kerrie), Alyssa, Rayna, Samantha, and Lauren; and great granddaughter Kenedy. She was preceded in death by David, her beloved husband of 46 years; her grandson, Tyler; her great grandson, Karter; her siblings Virginia Petersen Wunder (Griffin), Gerald and H. Michael Griffin; and her parents.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Oasis Church, located at 3819 18th Avenue NW, Rochester, MN 55901, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.  A private burial will take place on Friday.

Condolences

The family of Vivian L. Malcomson has received the following condolences.

Dear, sweet Vivian!  I always enjoyed seeing her out for a walk and stopping to visit for a bit.  She admired my pink peonies, and I gave her a start of them a few years ago.  Now when my peonies bloom, I will think of my sweet neighbor.  My most sincere sympathy to Vivian's family.

I’d recognize that smile anywhere. Moved to Colorado 50 years ago. While living in Rochester, David and Vivian lived up the hill from us. What a wonderful family!Eunice Teyler

Dear Dave, Jan and Rob,

I'm so very sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was the kindest, most caring neighbor one could wish for. I know she will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
