Satheesh Kumar

On Wednesday, May 9th 2018, our beloved Satheesh passed away unexpectedly.

Our hearts are heavy, as he will be forever missed and held tightly in our memories from this day forward.  He is survived by his wife and two children, parents, brother, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, niece, nephew, aunts, and uncles.

For those of you who knew Satheesh, he was an amazing father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and much more.  He lived life to the fullest – loved golf, motorcycle riding, and spending time with his family.  His motto was work hard – play hard, and he certainly did just that!

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 pm, Saturday, May 12 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, MN.  A visitation will be held prior to the ceremony from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm for family and friends to reminisce, grieve, and offer support.

In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the FARE program – a program dedicated to improving 15 million lives by supporting Food Allergy Research and Education. www.foodallergy.org

I will always remember Satish fondly. Especially his beautiful smile and contagious laugh.  What a fun time we had at your wedding.  When a drunk crashed it and was sneaking beers from the keg and wanted to know. " Who Satish was " . And Satish said " I am Satish ".  The drunk shrugged and went on drinking, we all had a good laugh. Especially Satish. He went way too young. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Angie and his family. Standup guy.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Satheesh's passing. I first met Satheesh a number of years ago when he applied to an internal IBM Software Development Management position opening I had in Rochester, MN. Satheesh joined my team and quickly made a huge, positive, business and climate/culture impact to my organization. He was an inspiration to me with his "Work Hard/Play Hard" approach to everything. Satheesh was genuine in everything he did. He was a phenomenal IBM colleague and outside of work he was simply a fun person to be around. His energy and enthusiasm was contagious.

We lost a great colleague, good friend to many, and a role model.

My thoughts are with Angie, their children, and the extended family.

As my daughter Alicia put it, Mother nature is crying today for the loss of our friend. Satheesh touched the hearts of many and approached life with a Smile. Not knowing what life has in store for us all, our lives were enhanced by knowing this great young man, if only briefly. Our hope for Angie and the children is a lifelong remembrance of how Great Satheesh was to all.

Dear Angie, My deepest sympathies during your time of loss, my thoughts/prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Love, Melinda Pena

Angie and Family,

Extremely saddened and shocked to hear of the untimely demise of our colleague Satheesh. My heart felt condolences to the family members. Pray god to rest thy soul in peace.

I had the pleasure of working with Satheesh for only a short period in is new role within GTS.  His passion for progress, technology and clients radiated from him and was infectious for anyone around him.   While never seeing him in his home life, our conversations around his family had me believe similar qualities for the ones he loved were only magnified.   We were all better for knowing Satheesh, and you have my deepest sympathies and thoughts that we were not blessed with having known him longer...

Richard A Patterson

Angie,

I am sending my love and keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Your IBM family loves you and your husband will be missed by many. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to support you and your family during this difficult time.

Always,
Dina & your extended family from IBM Systems.

Satheesh was to me a stand up guy at work.   In our interactions, I always felt he had his passion in the right place and conducted his business with highest level professionalism.   I am saddened by this loss and pray for his family and friends as we remember Satheesh and praise the legacy he leaves behind.   RIP Satheesh.

Angie,

I'm so sorry to hear this. We had some great times together with both of you. I'm glad you're in Rochester around so many people who love you.
