Renee M. Curry
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Renee Michele Curry on January 6, 2025, at the age of 59. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by the warmth and comfort of her cherished family. Born on December 2, 1965, at Kimborough, Maryland Army Hospital, Renee was a radiant presence whose love and light touched everyone she met.
Renee was preceded in death by her father, Henry J. Lines; her mother, Jean Hough-Postighone; her grandparents, Agnes and Grover Hough; and her brother-in-law, Brian Lucia.
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, David Anthony Curry, and their devoted children: Cassandra Grace McGreevy (Curry) and her husband, Dylan McGreevy; Giuseppe Robert Curry and his girlfriend, Alexis Sexton; and her youngest son, Anthony Giovanni Curry. Renee also leaves behind her daughter, Kendra Marie Hamilton, as well as her treasured siblings: Tracy Marie Lucia, whose husband is Jim Woodward; Nancy Lynn Lines; and Crystal Denae Postighone.
Renee’s lifelong passion for horses was evident from her youth, when she was always seen with her horse. Her love of these majestic animals grew as she joined Milbrook Equestrian Center during high school and later managed the Arlington Animal Hospital and started Pet Supply, where she turned her passion for animals into a career. She traveled to Bluffdale, TX, with her husband and trained with world-renowned cowboy Craig Cameron and her beloved horse, Texas. She always looked forward to warmer weather to go horse camping with her family, creating cherished memories along the way.
Her incredible ability to connect with and train any animal in her presence was truly a sight to behold. Renee had a deep passion for her poodles, loving their intelligence and the joy she found in grooming them. She formed a special bond with all creatures, great and small, and her love for animals was matched only by the love she shared with her family.
Renee and her husband built their dreams together on their land, iterating and improving over the years. With each change, their shared vision came to life, and their business, Completely Canines, grew into a testament to their hard work and shared passion. Her husband always listened to her dreams and worked to make them a reality, a love story built on respect, dedication, and shared goals.
Her spirit was bright and infectious; no matter the circumstances, there was always laughter, love, and cherished memories. Renee shared a unique and inseparable bond with her sister Nancy, as close as two peas in a pod.
Her endless love, which she bestowed so generously upon all who were part of her life, will never be forgotten. Renee will be deeply and sorely missed by all who were blessed to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2025, in the River Park at Macken Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in the River Park Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Refuge Ranch Ministries, reflecting Renee’s dedication to being an advocate for all animals.
Though Renee is no longer physically with us, her light will forever shine in the hearts of those who loved her.

Earth has lost a beautiful woman. Renee took care of our Cooper in day care for many years and knew exactly how to manage his stubborn hound behavior with love. Her love for animals, and kindness to all, shined through her always. I’m sure every animal in heaven ran toward her in greeting when she arrived. Condolences to her entire family.
Our hearts go out to the family during this difficult time, Renee was beautiful inside and out. May she forever rest in peace. With love,
Curt & Kaylie
Some of my favorite early memories involve Renee. We worked together for a number of years here in New York. Always laughing, forever smiling, AND one of the hardest workers I’ve ever met in my life. You were really one of a kind Renee!
My heart goes out to the entire family who has lost so much. May the angels above you hold you close and the memories last your entire lifetime❤️
So, deeply sadden to hear of Renee's
passing, she will always hold a special place in my heart

So sorry to hear of the passing of Renee. We appreciate her looking after Barkley for all those years. God bless your family.
My condolences to Renee's family on your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting her when she drove Cassandra to IL to pick up her Dalmatian puppy, Layla. She was a lovely, kind woman. May the heartbreak of her passing be comforted by all the loving memories you shared together. Caring thoughts to all of you.

Dave and Family - So sorry to hear of your loss - A great person lost to soon - She loved our wiggle butts and we loved her for the care she provided them for many years. Thoughts and prayers - We know who is Queen of the Rainbow Bridge in Heaven now.
Tracey, we send our deepest sympathy and prayers for you and your family at this time
I am so so sorry for your loss. I can hear Renee’s laughter even after all the years ago. Infectious. I met Renee when Teller, my Vizsula pup, came into my life and I needed help in learning how to be the best mom to this dog who had my heart. She took him into her house and into her heart and I just followed him. Generosity in giving of herself. She was truly gifted. And her legacy of generosity and gifts lives on in Cassie, who now is teaching me to be the best mom to Huck, my precious pup. Grateful heart for these women who show us how to love.
As you lay in silence, may the angel wings be upon us to comfort and guide us and hold us tight to accept your flight.
Rest in peace, cousin.

I have just read the obituary. What an absolutely amazing woman Renee was. I did not ever meet her but I heard about her from Guiseppe, who is close to my great granddaughter Lexi. He spoke of her so highly and I could tell she was a great mom and a great friend to him. I am so terribly sorry for everyone who knew and loved her.
Sincerely yours, Helen Kolb
