Nouane Inthirath

Nouane Inthirath, 78, of St Charles, MN, died Thursday, December 12, 2024 at her home.

Nouane was born February 12, 1946 in Khongxedone, Salavan, Laos to Chan Kouly and Oune.  As a young adult she fled Laos to Ubon refugee camp in Thailand.  While there she adopted her daughter Nhommala Inthirath.  Together they were sponsored to come to the United States in 1979 landing in Virginia.  They moved several times looking for the perfect home making stops in Colorado and Pennsylvania.  Along the way she met Kongmany Senebouttarath whom she married in 1986.  They settled together in St Charles, MN first and later moved to Worthington, MN where they worked at Swift Pork Plant.  Nouane was a very proud Lao American becoming a citizen of the United States September 29, 2006.  They lived together until Kongmany’s passing August 5, 2015.  After his passing Nouane moved back to St Charles, MN for the remainder of her life where she was able to stay at home until her last breath.

Nouane and the Lao communities of Worthington and St Charles shared a love and respect for each other.  She touched many lives with her wisdom and beautiful smile.  Her Lao Buddhist culture was of the utmost importance to her along with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Nhommala (Andrew) Inthirath Schoepfer of Rockford, IL, beloved granddaughters Molly Phetsada Schoepfer and Morgan Malee Schoepfer both of Rockford, IL, one sister in Laos, and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband Kongmany Senebouttarath, brothers and sister.

A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2024, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home.
