Michael Patrick German

Michael “Mike” Patrick German, 33 of Rochester MN, (formerly of Corona, CA) passed away unexpectedly on July 5th, 2021 at his home.

Michael was born on January 24th, 1988, in Glendora, CA to his parents Robert and Roxanne (Luck) German of Corona CA, (formerly of Rochester). He graduated from Centennial High School in Corona, CA and went on to complete his Luthier Certification from Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA and was employed at Fender Guitar in Corona CA. He moved to Rochester, MN in 2017. He was the father to three beautiful children. Mike had a love for Corvettes, enjoyed piloting airplanes as well as R/C, and his trade of building custom guitars. He had many musician friends in the music industry.

He is survived by his three children, Kristin (10), Rilley (8) and Logan (7) of Riverside, CA; his parents, Robert and Roxanne (Luck) German of Corona CA (both formerly of Rochester); his brothers, Brandon German of Corona, CA , Marshall German of New Westminster BC, Canada; and his sister, Megan (German) and Chase Baker of Elizabethtown, KY and nephews Hunter, Hudson, and Harrison Baker.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Donna German, Maurice and Petronella “Nella” Luck, all of Rochester, MN.

The Funeral Service for Mike will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday July 13, 2021 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester with Pastor Anjanette Bandel officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday July 12th in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on July 13th. Burial will follow immediately at Pleasant Prairie Cemetery in Rochester. A celebration of his life and a light meal will be served following the burial, at the Rochester Eagles Club.

Dear Roxanne and Bob, please accept our deepest condolences.  We were very saddened to hear about Mike passing away, he was taken too soon.  We feel lucky to have met him and to have spent some time with him when he would come over with Kristen to play with our daughter.  He always had a smile on his face and shared his love for music and playing the guitar.  We are very sorry for your loss.
