Dear Family,

We send our sympathy to you! Maurie was part of a group that spent the winters in Gulf Shores, Alabama. That was where we first met.

We spent three wonderful winters with him. A great guy...fun to golf with...fun to socialize with! The memories there will not be forgotten!

I am so sorry to hear of Maurice's passing.  We knew each other since we were kids.

I believe his first car was a 1941 Ford Business Coupe.  It was a beautiful black car.  I was looking for a car and it happened to be on a car lot on S. Broadway.  It then became my first car.

He was  a great guy with an ever present smile.  I know he will be missed by all who knew him.

Lowell Gilbertson

I served as Maurie’s VP on the Essex Estates Townhome board of directors for 15 years and Maurie was a force of nature, a great leader, decision maker, friend and neighbor. We were next door neighbors for 24 years and I miss our friendship and chats since he and his dear wife Alice moved to Shorewood earlier this year. Rest in peace my friend and we will meet again some day in the loving arms of our Lord.
