Lynn Elizabeth Kinney

Lynn Elizabeth Kinney, 93, of Rochester, MN, died on February 3, 2025 at Green Prairie Rehabilitation in Plainview, MN.

Lynn was born March 17, 1931 in Waterloo, IA. She graduated from West High School there in 1949. She entered Kahler School of Nursing and graduated in 1953. On June 19, 1954, she married Robert Kinney. They moved to Rochester in 1955. Lynn worked as a nurse at Methodist Hospital until she retired in 1981.

Lynn enjoyed camping, fishing, knitting, Bingo and trips to Las Vegas.

She is survived by one son: Curt; two daughters: Diane Furr and Denys (Rich) Rain; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Dawn.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Green Prairie Rehabilitation and Mayo Hospice.

My heart goes out to Lynn's family. I hope your happy memories will help you through this difficult time. She was a terrific neighbor, honorary grandma, & a phenomenal lady. Her kindness, active life and humor won't be forgotten. St.Paricks day will always be a reminder of her and Kay living it up at Bingo. We are so glad we were blessed with her friendship all these years!  Allison
