Gerald “Jerry” Drysdale
Jerry Drysdale died on December 29th, 2024. He was born July 2, 1939, in Columbus, Ohio to Beryl and Jane (Cutting) Drysdale.
Jerry lived with his paternal grandmother for a time and attended school in Eyota. He finished school in Owatonna. He worked in Faribault for a few years before returning to Rochester. He worked for ABC for 35 years.
Jerry enjoyed riding his bike and rode 20 to 30 miles visiting friends and relatives. He liked drawing, listening to music, and watching TV (especially wrestling and westerns). He liked concerts, parades, local celebrations, and dining out with his friends.
Jerry retired at age 82. He spent his last years living in adult foster care and over 20 years with Julie Fisher.
Jerry is survived by 3 half-brothers, Billy Clark, Bob Stephan, John Drysdale; 1 half-sister, Jean (Roger) Johnson; several cousins and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; grandparents; brother James V, half-brother Carroll, two half-sisters, Linda (Drysdale) Mitchell and Betty Clark; his paternal aunt Lois Schmidt and uncle Bob Schmidt; his great aunt, Etta Cutting, several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There will be no visitation or service. The burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. Thanks to the doctors and nurses at St Mary’s and Methodist Hospitals for taking such good care of him.

Besides being my Cousin, Jerry was a good friend and someone that always remembered who I am & always wanted to get on my different Bikes thru the years to get me to take a picture of him sitting on them.
Never to be forgotten, REST IN PEASE my friend.
Jerry's friends at Ability Building Community are sadden to hear about his passing. Jerry was a kind-hearted soul, hard and dedicated worker and great friend to all. We will greatly miss Jerry. Condolences to everyone that was part of Jerry's life.
