Betty worked as a Title I teacher’s aide for Rochester Public Schools assisting elementary students with reading, math, and other skills. She enjoyed volunteering for a variety of organizations including St. Pius X Church, Bundles of Love, and St. Mary’s Hospital.

Condolences

The family of Elizabeth J. Werle has received the following condolences.

Werle Family,

I’m so sorry for your loss.  Betty was a great person and of course played a special role in my life, especially my last two years of high school when I was welcomed into your home.  Betty and Al are an important part of some of the best memories I have, and even made a lot of those memories possible.  Thank you and God bless her and all of you during this difficult time.

Tim Beaudette

Betty and her husband were my neighbors for many years. I must say what a beautiful family they were with 5 wonderful sons. I have only positive memories. Rest in peace dearest Betty.

Many prayers and heavenly wishes for Aunt Betty. Always a sweet and gentle soul. All our love to Uncle Al, Mike, Jerry, Tom, Chris, Steve and all of their families. We are sending love and prayers.
Tracey and family

Joining other family and friends remembering a wonderful lady. Met Betty and then Al while teaching at St. Pius. She and Patty were a good team and an aide to our students and staff. We became friends and shared many social times. Last times were when we both were able to attend Saturday night Mass. Steve and Al always at her side. Sympathy, prayers and love at this time. Katie and Tom

I am sorry for your loss. Knowing Steve and the rest of the Werle family at the Academy of Holy Angels, it is clear that she was a gem and lived the kind of life that shaped a great family. May peace come to all of you in your sorrow.

Dear Neighbors!  Betty was the Mom with the Kool-aid pitcher!  On Elton Hills Drive, all Mom’s were our Mom!  It meant the world to me when Betty and Al came to our wedding in 2007.  And Mom loved that she and Al shared books.  I hold you all in my heart.  We lived on the best street in Rochester MN!  Losing a parent, no matter the age or circumstance is hard.  Betty makes a fourth in heavenly bridge; Bev, Audrey, Elaine and Betty.  Hugs to you all!
