Elinor Nesler, 89, of Rochester, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025.
Ellie was born in Dodge Center, MN on February 18, 1936 to Charles and Nancy Radke.
She attended a rural school until 6th grade and then transferred to elementary school in Dodge Center. She graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1953 and continued her education at Methodist Kahler School of Nursing, graduating in 1957.
Ellie married Bernard Nesler on November 9, 1957. They made their home in Rochester. Elinor worked for the Methodist Kahler School as an assistant instructor for 4 years – took some time off when the children were born – then returned to work at the Methodist Hospital and Mayo Clinic.
She is survived by one son: Gregory (Denise) of Rochester, and two daughters: Gayle Rowe of Pewaukee, WI and Natalie Bauman of Wheaton, IL. Also, 5 grandchildren, one step grandchild; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Cheryl (Marlyn) Bauch of Ashburn, VA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; her parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
A private family service will be held at a later date. No memorials are preferred.

Natalie, we are very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Your parents welcomed our family into your home during the Rochester Flood. Their kind hospitality allowed us a place of refuge.

Ellie was my dear friend and I’ll sincerely miss calling her for her sage advice although I know exactly what she’d tell me. We’ve enjoyed many years of friendship with both Ellie and Bernie
Ellie will be missed dearly. She was a great person through and through. I loved seeing her smiling facing and hear her laughter throughout out time together every Thursday. PEACE AND LOVE!!
