Edward (Ed) Pletsch

Edward (Ed) Pletsch passed away November 30, 2023, at St Marys Hospital at the age of 90. Edward was born to Margaret and Henry Pletsch on a Millville area farm.

He graduated from Plainview High. He married the love of his life, Esther Koopman in June 1958.

After their marriage they managed Mayowood Farms for 10 years. Ed went on to be Chief Engineer position with Willow Creek School for 24 years. Esther then worked for 22 years at St Marys.

Ed is survived by his wife Esther; sister Eileen Fremstad; their three daughters, Jean Pletsch Chrysler of Apple Valley, Judy Kay Brueske of Rochester, and Kathy Ann Scheevel of Preston; as well as many nieces; nephews; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his son Kevin, brother Robert and sister Marie.

Memorials are preferred to St Jude’s Hospital and the Poverello Fund at the Mayo Clinic.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Resurrection Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the Mass at the church.

Burial will be in St. Joachim Cemetery in Plainview.
