Cynthia Sue Langton

Cynthia Sue Langton, 65, of Stewartville, MN, was called home to be with her Lord on April 23, 2023 while at her home surrounded by family and friends.

Cindy was born May 21, 1957, in Preston, MN to Kenneth and Betty (Oliver) Knutson. She attended Marion Elementary School then Mayo High School. On October 20, 1990, the day donkeys finally flew, she married the love of her life, Donald M. Langton (Duddy) at the Stewartville Sportsman’s Club. They originally met at the Marion Church of Christ, and Cindy often visited Duddy as he maintained the Marion Cemetery. The couple lived near Pleasant Grove for over 30 years. Cindy worked at the Stewartville Care Center for over 20 years, first as a kitchen aide, then as an activity coordinator.

Cindy loved everything outdoors; fishing, birds (especially cardinals), and raising numerous dogs. She excelled at puzzles and making crafts for family and friends. She was also the world’s biggest Elvis fan. If you received a card from Cindy in the mail you opened it at your own risk of creating an explosion of confetti.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Donald and Allan Knutson, and one nephew two great-grand nieces and one great-grand nephew.

She is survived by her husband, Donald (Duddy), six sisters: Sharon Olson of Le Roy, MN, Donna Tilford of Mazeppa, MN, Carol Christopherson (Robert) of Hayfield, MN, Joyce Johnson of Kasson, MN, Marilyn Knutson of Le Roy, MN, Wanda Knutson of Lime Springs, MN; one brother, Robert Knutson (Kelly) of Marion, MN; 30 nieces and nephews, 45 great-grand nieces and nephews, and 19 great-great-grand nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Marion Road Christian Church with Reverend Monte French officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023 in the River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Pleasant Grove, MN.

The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice for their compassion and care that they provided during this time.

Macken Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.  Online condolences are welcome at www.mackenfuneralhome.com.

Condolences

The family of Cynthia Sue Langton has received the following condolences.

I didn't know.that Cindy had passed away. I worked with Cindy for quite a few years at the Stewartville Care Center in the kitchen. She always had a knack for sending cards with lots of confetti in them. She also was a good friend and she could make anyone laugh. She will be greatly missed.

I just heard from Ron Kappers that Cindy passed away & couldn’t believe it! I wish I had known as I Loved this Special Lady! I feel a great loss & sadness in knowing that she was so sick. I know that she is with Jesus in Heaven & now she can see her loved ones that passed before her.  I know her & my mom can now be together. Sincerest sympathy to Don & the entire Knutson family.
