Charles “Carlos” Stevens

Charles Edward Stevens also known as Carlos and Dickie. He was born June 4, 1953. He was preceded in death by his Mother Genevieve Mary Stevens and his Father Carlos Steve Stevens, He had many relatives from the Doherty and the Stevens side. His parents lived in Zumbrota MN where they owned Stevens Studio where they were both professional photographers. Carlos and Betty lived with them in Zumbrota.

His sister Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Stevens “Collins” had moved to Rochester after their mother passed away. Carlos soon followed. Carlos worked for Chuck Ernest after school as a trash collector, then he worked for Anderson Formal Wear before spending many years working at the Kahler. Towards the end he worked at ABC before finally retiring.

Carlos has four nephews, Jerome Stevens preceded him, Joshua Collins, Rochester, Andrew Collins, Mantorville, Brian Hilbrands, Forest Lake and many nieces and nephews.  Carlos had a large gathering of friends especially through work and other activities. It didn’t take much for him to consider you friends. He was always able to bring laughter to someone’s day.

His favorite past time was helping set up the band and traveling with them. He loved spending time with family and friends and was always there to lend a helping hand.

A gathering for Carlos will be held in the spring in Zumbrota MN, Carlos will be escorted to the cemetery to be laid to rest alongside his Mother, Father and Little Sister. That date is to be determined.

Carlos was such a kind young Man. Always ready to rock down at the North Star when ever I would see him. I will miss his smiling face. Rock on Carlos!
I’ll see ya later ?

I was Carlos supervisor at the Kahler Plaza Hotel.  He was always very happy and eager to help.  I enjoyed working with Carlos and having many laughs.

Carlos was more then a best friend he was a buddy and the best coworker to have around and the best person to make someone smile when they were having a down day
