Beverly Ann Hansen

Beverly Ann Hansen, 86, of Rochester, passed away peacefully Friday, December 3, 2021, at Seasons Hospice House.

Beverly was born on January 6, 1935, in Austin, MN to Chris and Rose (Majerus) Rasmussen. Beverly was a 1953 graduate of St. Augustine Catholic High School.

While waitressing at Chris and Rosie’s, her parents bar, she met her future husband, Einer Hansen. They married on October 11, 1958. They were married for 56 years until Einer’s passing on September 28, 2015.

While living in Austin, Bev was a homemaker. In the early 70’s, they moved to Stewartvillle, MN. She was an assembly worker for various businesses and eventually retired from IBM. During her employment at IBM, they moved to Rochester.

In their golden years, they enjoyed traveling and eventually settled in Donna, TX as snowbirds.

Bev enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also had many hobbies such as knitting, crocheting, sewing, reading, bingo, baking, puzzles, and playing cards especially the card game 31 with her family.

Beverly is survived by a son, David (Lisa) and their children, Lucas Hansen of Anoka, MN and Susan (Brock) Tallakson of Fargo, ND; a daughter, Nancy (Gary) Fabian and their children, Nicole Fabian of Minneapolis, MN and Erich Fabian of Rochester, MN, and Natalie (Robert) Rhodes of Goodyear, AZ; and her fur baby, Sammy. She is also survived by nieces and a nephew.

Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband Einer, infant daughter, Mary Jo, her parents, and a brother, Paul John.

The Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Resurrection Catholic Church with Rev. Shawn Haremza officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Resurrection Catholic Church and on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home.
