Condolences

The family of Thomas James Herold has received the following condolences.

Indeed, Tom touched MANY lives.  I was on one of the first basketball teams he ever coached in 1978.  Tom was a great coach and a great guy.  I could only guess how many young athletes have had that experience of Tom through 26 years of coaching.  Thanks for being our coach, Tom!

My sincerest sympathies to Tom's family, friends and all who's life has been touched by Tom.

Having the pleasure of working with Tom and Judy over the years is something I will forever treasure.

Kind, loving, compassionate, giving, and gentle man. Rest in peace Tom. You will always be remembered.

To Jim and family.  Sorry to hear about the loss of Tom.  You have our deepest sympathy.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.  Melvin and family.

Patty and Herold Family: If I were close, I would give you a hug. I pray for God's strength at this difficult time. I remember Tom and your other brothers from your mom and dad's house growing up. I am sad for your loss. Dee

Tom touched innumerable lives with integrity, compassion and humility. Such a kind, gentle person. We will miss him. My sympathies and prayers to his family.

Judy~

Thinking of you and your family in this difficult time. I hope you find comfort in the memories you made with Tom and in the blessing that he is free from cancer at last. Hugs to you!

Judy and family,

My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. May God grace you with the strength to get through this.

Ann Wilson

My sympathy to you Judy and family. May you all be comforted in all the happy memories of Tom.

Please accept our deepest sympathy with Tom's passing. I had the pleasure of coaching with Tom for four years with the Lourdes girl's traveling basketball program. Tom did such a great job with the girls. His kindness and work ethic really came through with the girls. They followed his lead and had great seasons with Tom as their coach. I always appreciated Judy's willingness to allow Tom to coach and share his talents with the girls even while he was going through treatment. The Herold family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

My prayers go out for Tom and his family.  Tom was the nicest person I have met and I appreciate the opportunity to have worked with him for over 20 years.  He was always teaching me about basketball.  I will truly miss him.

Tom always had a smile on his face for us students in the radiopharmacy lab even though he may have been biting his lips.  He had the patience of a saint and took all of us under his wing.  He will never be forgotten.  Our prayers are with your family and know you have a very large extended "family" within the Mayo system.  Sincerely, the Boucher Family (1982 student class)

Dear Judy and family,

I will be unable to attend the wake or funeral as we'll be out of town, but wanted to tell you that you'll be in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time.

Herold family,

My heart is heavy and sad for you all. Sarah and I have shared a bond of parents with cancer for years. We have had each other to lean on living away from our families in Orlando. knowing that she has lost her king she was (and is) a real princess!!!!! I cant imagine the heart ache pain sadness that you are all feeling but do know that your extended Orlando family loves you all and are so happy knowing that you all got to be together the past few weeks and will continue to stay strong through these hard times. Thanks for letting us share your lives with you and many hugs from down south. No words can help not enough sorrys can bring back but....who you are and what you were taught and your character shines through from Tom himself.

Uncle Tom was in a league of his own.  His heart was warm and kind and loving.  Always thinking of others and putting everyone else first.  Disney was very special to Tom and now it will be to me because of him.  Everything Disney will now have me think of Tom. His memories will live in us all!  Thank you for making our plans to attend  Sarah and David's wedding last May come true.  We would not have been able to go without you and Aunt Judy.  We love you, Uncle Tom!

I am very sorry to hear about Tom. My condolences, to you and your family, during this time of sorrow.
