Nancy J. Anderson

Nancy Jean Anderson, 62, of Rochester, MN formerly of Eyota, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Seasons Hospice with her daughter by her side after a
2-1/2 year struggle with small cell lung cancer.

Nancy was born October 26, 1952 in Winona, MN to William Allen Sholes and Rosalind (Kaiser) Sholes. She graduated from St. Charles High School in 1971. On October 2, 1971 she married Alan Anderson at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chatfield, they later divorced.

She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester. Nancy previously managed the Kwik Trip in Eyota, was a Title Clerk for Saturn of Rochester, and most recently worked as a cashier for Walmart North. She enjoyed hunting and fishing in her younger years with her brother and nephews. She also liked to play bingo, knit, embroider dish towels, read Stephen King books, put puzzles together, and feed the birds.

Survivors include her daughter, Angela (Brad) Hanson of Rochester and her one and only grandson, who was the love of her life, Joshua Hanson. Other survivors include her two brothers from Utica, MN; David (Linda) Sholes and Larry (Cindy) Sholes, and one sister Kathy (Jon) Mundell of Viola, MN.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

A special thank you to Stacey and Clayton Edberg of Rochester for their unconditional love and support and to Seasons Hospice for all of the their compassion and care during this difficult time.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 18th from 3:00-7:00PM in River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Online condolences are welcome at www.mackenfuneralhome.com
