Cynthia Peterson

Cynthia Peterson of Wanamingo, MN, formerly of Rochester, MN

Cyndy “CJ” Peterson was 62 when she died of natural causes on Sunday, Mar 5, 2017.  Cyndy was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Doris and her brother, Larry.  She is survived by her sons, Aaron and Michael Thompson; her best friend, Cindy Senjem; her sisters, Diana, Sandy, and Susan; and her brothers, David and Greg.  She is also survived by the many ESL students she taught in Rochester and around the world, by musicians and artists she encouraged and gave a space and voice to, and too many friends and loved ones to count.

Her family will be greeting friends from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Saturday, March 11, 2017 with a memorial service at 3pm in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Following the services at the funeral home, a celebration of her life will be held at the Blue Moon Ballroom (formerly the Knights of Columbus) on Hwy 14 in Rochester at 5pm.  Let all bygones be bygones, all are welcome. She brought life, light, and love into the lives of everyone she met.  She will be truly missed.

Condolences

The family of Cynthia Peterson has received the following condolences.

I went to high school with Cyndy in Austin, Minnesota.  She will be truly missed.

to the family and especially my friend Aaron, so sorry on the loss of your mom.  be happy for the great times you had together.

Cyndy, my heart hurts. We had so many good times together, those are what I will remember. You had a good heart and a spark for adventure. Our children and grandchildren loved your energy, you always made them laugh. We have to deal with your loss while you are reunited with loved ones. I love you with all my heart and will miss you.
