Barbara Jane Schlick

Barbara Jane Schlick (Wambach) age 87 of Rochester, MN, formerly of West St. Paul, MN, passed away on December 15, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, St. Marys Campus. Barbara was born in Waubun, MN on August 6, 1927. She was a graduate of the (formerly) College of St. Teresa in Winona, MN in 1949. On June 10, 1952 she married Ervin “Erv” Schlick. (retired Director of Instrumental Activities)

Barbara is survived by her husband Erv of 62 years, her brothers Andrew and Jim, her son Mark, daughters Mary (Harris), Nanette, and Elizabeth, and many family including 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and teacher. She is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Magdalena (Kochmann) Wambach, two brothers, Jack and Wally Wambach and a sister, Marie O’Connell.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, December 19, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Gerald A. Mahon officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the Mass.  A rosary will be said for Barbara at the beginning of the visitation (9:00AM).  Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights, MN.
